| MARCIA SPEIER has lived in Monterey County since 1973. She became a Certified Hypnotherapist in 1986 through Habit Control Clinics in Carmel, California. She also studied thorough the American Institute of Hypnotherapy, and earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Metaphysics in October 1998 (www.metaphysics.com). In March 2000, she became certified as a medical Hypnotherapist through the American Board of Medical Hypnotherapy. She is a member of the American Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (www.aaph.org) and the American Medical Hypnotherapists Association. Marcia is currently a doctoral candidate with the University of Metaphysics. Her other background includes several years in Professional Management, Personnel and Marketing. |  |
| Marcia was born and raised in a small Midwestern community in Iowa. As a child, she spent a great deal of time contemplating nature and wondering how it is that some people become diseased while others remain healthy, especially when it appeared that their habits and environment were much the same. As a young woman she moved to southern California where she attended Orange Coast College. She relocated to Monterey County in 1973. She is the mother of two grown sons and has one grandchild. Marcia has had a long time interest in the subconscious mind. In 1979, experiences with personal illnesses led her on a journey of study and exploration to further the mysteries of the subconscious and our higher intelligence. Among these studies are Yoga, Meditation, Rebirthing, A Course In Miracles, Metaphysics, Religious Science, Edgar Cayce Readings, and last, but obviously not least, Hypnosis. She is also interested in the study of herbal remedies. Marcia is currently in private practice in Monterey, California. |
